Comparison
Better Stack grew from uptime monitoring into a full observability and on-call platform. This page is about the parts of that job PingView does not do, and what each of us actually charges for the rest.
Researched and verified on 2026-08-15. We recheck competitor pricing quarterly.
You want status page, white-label, synthetic tests, RUM and deep scanning inside one Professional price instead of a growing list of add-ons. Team members get access to monitoring without a per-seat license, the WordPress, PrestaShop and Magento plugins provision a monitor straight from the shop admin, and invoicing is in PLN from a Polish entity with a Polish interface.
You run a real on-call rotation and need schedules, escalation policies, one-tap acknowledgement, unlimited voice calls and dedicated iOS/Android apps with critical alerts. Paid plans check every 30 seconds from more than 10 regions, and the same account can hold your logs, traces, metrics, error tracking and session replay.

Team members are included in PingView's flat plan price, from 1 seat on Free up to 100 on Enterprise. Better Stack's free Team Member role only sees telemetry: anyone meant to actually work Uptime, including a single extra person, needs a paid Responder license at 29-34 USD per month, about 108-127 PLN.
Better Stack sells monitors in packs of 50, so 25 monitors still costs a full pack, and white-label plus a custom domain on a status page are two separate line items at roughly 250 USD per month each, per page. PingView bundles status page, white-label, synthetic tests, RUM and deep scanning into one Professional price at 299 PLN per month, with no per-page surcharge.
Polish interface, prices in PLN and USD, a Polish legal entity for RODO and DPA, and a Polish SMS provider for alerts to Polish numbers. Better Stack's pricing page and documentation are in English only, and we found no PLN option or language switcher there as of 2026-08-15.
The WordPress plugin, published on wordpress.org, plus the PrestaShop and Magento 2 modules create an account and a monitor straight from the shop admin. We found no equivalent in Better Stack's integration catalog; connecting a store there would mean wiring up their API by hand.
This is the section we would rather you read here than discover after you have already built your alerting around us.
PingView has no on-call schedules, no escalation policies, no alert acknowledgement, no voice calls and no mobile push. Better Stack ships all of it as a core part of the product: multi-level escalation policies, complex rotations, one-tap acknowledgement and unlimited voice calls, available from a Responder license. This is the single biggest reason a team with a real SRE or DevOps on-call rotation would pick them over us.
We have no native iOS or Android app. Better Stack has dedicated apps for both, built around acknowledging incidents and handling on-call from a phone, including critical alerts that can bypass Do Not Disturb.
Better Stack checks every 30 seconds on paid plans. PingView's fastest interval is 1 minute, even on Enterprise. For a monitor watching something that fails and recovers quickly, that gap in detection latency is real.
Better Stack documents more than 10 monitoring regions, with a monitor checked from at least 4 locations by default; the exact list of cities is not published. PingView has exactly 5 probes, all in Europe and the United States, with no coverage in Asia, Oceania, South America, Africa or the Middle East.
Better Stack monitors DNS records and POP3/IMAP/SMTP mail servers, and treats generic TCP as a fully described monitor type. PingView has 4 real monitor types: HTTP, TCP, ICMP ping and heartbeat. SSL and domain expiry are attributes of an HTTP monitor, not separate types, and we do not monitor DNS records or mail protocols at all.
Better Stack is close to a small Datadog: structured logs, distributed tracing, metrics, error tracking and session replay all live in one account alongside uptime. PingView only has a simple host metrics agent for CPU, RAM, disk and network, plus a single Windows log collector. It is not an observability platform in that sense.
If you need on-call, if something breaking at 3am has to wake a specific person by phone until they acknowledge it, pick Better Stack. We do not do paging, escalation policies or mobile push today, and pretending otherwise would waste your time during a real incident.

No. We have no on-call schedules, escalation policies, alert acknowledgement, voice calls or mobile push. That is the clearest functional gap between the two products, and if your team needs it, Better Stack is the better choice today.
At minimum, 5 Responder licenses (5 x 29-34 USD per month) plus, optionally, channel workflows for Slack or Teams at 9 USD per responder per month: roughly 145 USD per month, about 541 PLN, and up, before any telemetry or status page add-ons. Figures as published 2026-08-15; Better Stack changes pricing without notice.
It depends on scale and what you actually need. A single Responder with around 25 monitors runs close to our Starter plan at 99 PLN per month, without on-call. Add a real on-call rotation, telemetry and a white-label status page, and Better Stack's modular add-ons push the total well past PingView's flat-fee plans. An independently reconstructed example scenario, 3 responders, about 100 monitors, one telemetry bundle and 2 white-labelled status pages, puts it around 767 USD per month, about 2861 PLN. Treat that scenario as illustrative, not an official quote.
We found no evidence of PLN pricing or a Polish VAT invoicing option on their pricing page as of 2026-08-15; their pricing is published in USD only. That is not proof they cannot do it on request, just that we found no public evidence either way. PingView bills in PLN and USD from a Polish entity.
Their documentation states more than 10 regions, with each monitor checked from at least 4 locations by default. The exact city list is not published, and secondary sources disagree on the total, 10 versus 18, so we are not repeating a specific number here. PingView monitors from exactly 5 fixed probes: Wroclaw, Berlin, Worcester, Newark and Milan.
Every claim about Better Stack comes from their public pricing page, documentation and help centre, collected on 2026-08-15 and linked below. Every claim about PingView is checked against our own source code rather than our marketing copy, which is why some rows show limits our own landing pages used to overstate. Where a fact could not be confirmed from a primary source, we leave it out instead of guessing.
Disclosure: PingView publishes this page and PingView is one of the two products compared. We have an obvious interest in the outcome, so we list where the other tool is the better choice and link their pricing page so you can check the numbers yourself.
